1. Sports footwear
Bring proper sports shoes. We will be playing on artificial turf, so turf shoes (TF) or artificial grass cleats (AG) are strongly recommended.
2. Warm clothing
Seville is not known for harsh winters, and at this time of year temperatures usually range between 8 and 18 °C. We recommend bringing a jacket to avoid catching a cold. Rain is uncommon, but it’s still a good idea to pack a rain jacket or windbreaker, which will also be useful between games or while resting. Sunny and pleasant days are expected, but a well-prepared athlete is always better off.
3. Food
Dinner is not included. We encourage you to take advantage of your visit and enjoy a pleasant evening on a terrace while experiencing local tapas culture—we’ll provide a great list of recommended places, with options for all tastes.
Breakfast is not included either, but we will have an open sandwich bar, so if you have a light breakfast, you’ll be able to top it up at the tournament.
4. The best energy
We want this event to be an opportunity to build connections and grow together. Bring your competitive spirit at full power, without losing the good vibes—this is Ultimate Frisbee, and our foundation is the Spirit of the Game.
Seville has excellent transport connections, including a high-speed train station, a bus station, and an international airport.
Flying is my choice: If you arrive by plane, the journey from Seville Airport to the city center takes around 20 minutes. You have several options: Ride-hailing services (Cabify, Uber) axi service, with an approximate cost of €20 (depending on your destination) Airport bus service, costing €5, with departures every 20 minutes. You can find more information on the airport’s official website.
I love train tracks: Seville is well connected by high-speed rail. You can travel from Madrid with Iryio or RENFE , as well as from other cities across Spain. Keep in mind that RENFE offers an 8% discount for group bookings of 4 or more people, but this discount is only available when purchasing tickets at ticket offices or by phone.
Bus is always cheaper: Most long-distance buses arrive at the Plaza de Armas Bus Station. From Madrid, you can buy tickets through SOCIBUS, drom other parts of Spain or Portugal ALSA.
I’ll come by bike: We’ve never seen this happen, but Google Maps will be your best ally. If you manage to pull off such a feat, you’ll earn free player registration for life plus an honorary mention (not applicable to Seville residents 😉).
We’re sorry we can’t host you at our place—you’re a lot of people 😄. However, Onefam and For You Hostel are official tournament partners and offer participants a discount on accommodation, whether you book individual beds or entire rooms.
For You Hostel Sevilla → You’ll get a 12% discount when booking through their website using the code “FRISBEE10”.
OneFam Centro y OneFam Catedral → You’ll get a 15% discount when booking directly on their website using the code “COPAIBERICA”.
Both fields will be located at Universidad Pablo de Olavide. Below you’ll find all the information you need to arrive safe and sound. You’ll also receive a direct Google Maps link to the field parking area.
How to get there
By bus: Bus route 38 will drop you right in front of the Pablo de Olavide metro stop and next to the fields. Giving detailed directions would be a bit cumbersome, so we trust you’ll manage just fine using Google Maps or Moovit.
By metro: There is only one metro line in Seville. Take it in the direction Olivar de Quintos and get off at Pablo de Olavide station.
By car: If you’re coming by car, you can use the designated parking area or any of the nearby parking spots.
About the facilities
The event will take place on the artificial turf fields of the Universidad Pablo de Olavide. The campus is open to the public and has no access control. While the area is usually frequented only by students and university staff, we recommend keeping your belongings within sight at all times.
The organization is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Final considerations
Physiotherapist: A physiotherapy service will be available for all tournament participants. Please note that there will be one physiotherapist attending all players, so we ask for patience and fair use.
Food tent: You’ll find ingredients to build your own sandwiches and other snacks, available without limit. Help yourself freely but responsibly—we want to avoid food waste. Drinks are not included and must be purchased separately.
Merchandise tent: A wide range of sports items will be available so you can refresh your wardrobe or grab that piece of gear or gadget you’ve been missing on the field.
Changing rooms: Separate men’s and women’s changing rooms will be available. Please help us keep them clean, use them responsibly, and report any issues to the organization.
Information regarding groups, tournament format, match duration, and the full schedule will be released after January 31, 2026.
To help you prepare, we can already share the time slots during which matches will be played:
Saturday: 9:00 – 18:00
Sunday: 9:00 – 15:00
Award ceremony: between 16:00 and 17:00
The tournament will follow the official WFDF Rules of Ultimate 2025–2028, including the gender ratio system ABBA, in real mixed format.
More information on the format coming soon!
We want this tournament to be a showcase of high-level and great spirited Ultimate. And we encourage every players to come with the will to bring their best SOTG!
As tournament organizers:
We demand all the captains (team and spirit captains) to have a valid WFDF Advanced Rules Certification
We encourage all players to consider having a valid WFDF Basic Rules Certification, and we challenge all the players to pass the advanced one!
Actively use hand signals during gameplay
Clearly indicate the playing matching gender by the offense before each pull (as in appendix 6.4 of the WFDF rules)
If the personnel ratio for a point has four (4) female (resp. male) matching players, then all female (resp. male) matching players on offence should stand on the end zone line using the Hand Signal for Personnel Ratio: Female Matching (resp. Male Matching).
A dedicated person will be assigned to record the score and manage game timing (game time, halftime, and time-outs). Call resolution times must be managed autonomously on the field by the players.
